Lord Taverners Table Cricket Competitions

Last week, Wiltshire Cricket had the pleasure of hosting two exciting Lord’s Taverners Table Cricket competitions—one at Lavington School and the other at Brimble Hill School. These events provided a wonderful opportunity for students from across the county to showcase their skills in this inclusive and fast-paced version of cricket.

Over the course of two action-packed days, 13 teams took part, each bringing their own energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the game. The students, representing various schools, demonstrated outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and a true love for cricket, all while enjoying a fun and competitive atmosphere.

Beyond being a chance to compete, the competitions also helped promote inclusivity and teamwork among students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The halls were filled with laughter and cheers as players of all abilities came together to experience the spirit of cricket. It was a memorable event, creating lasting smiles and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you goes to Lavington School and Brimble Hill School for hosting the events, and to Abbey Park School for generously lending their table tennis table. A special mention to the young leaders from Fairfield College, who did an incredible job assisting throughout the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Finally, a big congratulations to our two winning teams—The Springfields Academy and Marlborough St Mary's CEVC Primary School.
