ECB #GetSetWeekend - 26th and 27th March

This year’s #GetSetWeekend (in previous guises would have been known as CricketForce) will take place on the weekend of 26th/27th March.

This is a weekend when clubs are encouraged to get their memberships together to help prepare and get ready for the upcoming season.

As part of the #GetSetWeekend all clubs will be given the opportunity to register to be entered into the ECB’s Get Set Weekend prize draw and details of this will be circulated to clubs in due course.

Additionally, as part of the #GetSetWeekend, Lifebuoy, Official Hygiene Partner of England Cricket, the ECB and Community Cricket, will be offering clubs an exclusive discount on hygiene and cleaning products to help clubs prepare for the coming season. Again, more information on how to claim your exclusive discount will be shared soon.

Finally, please note that the ECB has added some digital assets to the ECB Resource Hub to help you promote your Get Set Weekend.

You may choose to run your Get Set Weekend on a different weekend to the national initiative. This is absolutely fine as the most important thing is that you use the idea of getting your club together as a means of completing key pre-season tasks and harnessing the benefits and impact of bringing your membership together in a sociable but productive way. If done well your Get Set Weekend will encourage cricket supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake small or large renovations to clubhouses and grounds. It is a great way to bring the club together and make sure that the club is ready for the new season. How large the project is does not matter, it’s about bringing the club together at the start of the season and finding new volunteers while carrying out jobs that are needed.
