Wiltshire young cricketers to receive specialist coaching in first initiative delivered as part of new talent pathway partnership with Gloucestershire Cricket

In October, Wiltshire Cricket announced its talent pathway partnership with Gloucestershire Cricket.

Following this announcement, work has already begun on the initiatives that will be delivered as a result of this partnership. One such initiative is a forthcoming series of skillset sessions for a select number of boys county age group players between the ages of under 13 and under 17.

During November and December, we will be delivering 3 x batting, seam bowling and spin bowling skillset sessions with the players attending each having been nominated to do so by their respective county age group coaches. Delivering on the sessions will be both Wiltshire and Gloucestershire coaches.

As well as the skillset sessions being a programme in their own right and a great enhancement of our talent pathway offering, they will also act as a talent identification process for our Emerging Player Programme that will commence in January and will again be co-delivered by Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Cricket.

On Monday 5th November, Gloucestershire Cricket's Head of Talent Pathway; Tim Hancock delivered an evening for parents and players involved in the skillset programme at which he presented some key messages around what will be covered during the skillset programme and also what characteristics our coaches will be looking for from players involved.
