Youth Cricket: District
In Wiltshire we run district cricket at under 11 Boys and under 13 Girls level. District cricket is an excellent means by which we can identify a large talent pool of players and is the reason behind us running it at early stages of Boys and Girls cricket.
Our county is split into five districts with the following clubs with junior sections belonging to each:
| North West | North East | West Wilts | Kennet | Salisbury |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Biddestone | Cricklade | Beanacre | All Cannings | Dinton |
| Calne | Goatacre | Bradford Town | Bishops Cannings | Farley |
| Chippenham | Highworth | Cooper Avon | Burbage & Easton | Redlynch & Hale |
| Christian Malford | Purton | Trowbridge | Collingbourne | Shrewton |
| Corsham | Shrivenham | Warminster | Devizes | South Wilts |
| Malmesbury | Spye Park | Westbury | Erlestoke | Steeple Langford |
| Marshfield | Swindon | Heytesbury | Marlborough | Longford Park |
| Sutton Benger | Wootton Bassett | Potterne |
At Girls' Under 13 our districts are headed up by one club from each district. These are as follows:
- North West – Biddestone
- North East – Goatacre
- West Wilts – Warminster
- Kennet – Potterne
- Salisbury – South Wilts
2007 will see us hold festival dates for district cricket whereby all five districts will get an opportunity to play against each other at a neutral venue. If you would like any more information about district cricket then please contact Steve Silk.
