Funding

Wiltshire Cricket Board is committed to helping both schools and clubs achieve funding to support their provision of Cricket in many different areas and across many different levels.

Schools

Developing and improving the provision of Cricket in Schools so that children get as many opportunities and as much exposure to Cricket as possible is of paramount importance to not only Wiltshire but the ECB as a whole. It is for this reason that projects such as Chance to Shine and MCC Spirit of Cricket are at the forefront of Cricket development today. Both of these initiatives open the door to free coaching being made available to schools and resources through each scheme.

There is also the chance that you may be a school that is not currently involved in these projects but would like to see what else is available to you in terms of equipment or facilities, if so please click here.

Clubs

Through the development of schools Cricket we are hoping to see a greater link achieved between schools and clubs so that children’s cricketing experiences can extend beyond the school environment. With this in mind, the development and increased professionalism of club Cricket is a major area of work for our Development Office. Currently, within Wiltshire we have 14 Focus Clubs who have been identified due to the excellent work they do in supporting key areas of our County Board Development Plan. In return, Focus Clubs receive excellent opportunities to receive funding and subsidies for various courses.
