Groundsmen's Courses
Currently in Wiltshire we run IOG Level 1 Part A and B courses within the county. The dates for these in 2008 are as follows:
Level 1 Part A: 9th March 2008 at Chippenham CC
Level 1 Part B: 21st September 2008 at Chippenham CC
As for higher level qualifications, Level 2 and 3 courses are run outside of the county. However, if you are a Level 1 Groundsman interested in progressing up to Level 2 or 3 then please contact Steve Silk or Pete Sykes who will be able to give you more information on how to find these courses.
Alternatively you can contact George Clift on 01380 813928 for a booking form in order to book and confirm your place. The current price for the course is Approx. £70.00 but through funding, the WGA will reimburse clubs who attend, £35.00 per club, so the cost to your club is only £35.00, well worth attending.
We do realise that during the season it is difficult for club groundsmen to attend, but the course should be attended in order to gain the benefits before the end of the season.
