Coaches
Wiltshire Cricket Board is committed to developing and improving the standard of coaching throughout the county. Good coaching is integral to successful Cricket Development as it is this that not only helps us to create stars of the future but also helps to stimulate interest and increase participation across all levels and abilities of the game.
We are committed to offering opportunities to both high level coaches as well as prospective coaches looking to begin their coaching careers. For this reason, 2007 will see us run an extensive Coach Education programme ranging from Introduction to Coaching courses through to specialised Coach Development Workshops. Wiltshire takes great pride in Coach Education and so all of our courses are run by excellent, qualified ECB tutors.
Further to Coach Education we have also recently restructured our county association of Cricket Coaches (WACC). WACC will be working closely with clubs to identify candidates to attend courses and will also be communicating regularly with its members to inform them of funding opportunities, workshops and coaches conferences. The job of WACC will also be to work with experienced or higher level coaches who are looking to get involved with representative Cricket.
